The vehicle’s engine computer supplies data directly to the DataStep Gauges, for the most accurate and reliable gauges available today. Unlike conventional gauges, separate wires are not required for each sensor input, light bulb, battery, or ground connection.

DataStep Gauges use a single pair of twisted wires to distribute the required sensor data values to all of the gauges. All gauges are connected with a simple daisy-chain wiring harness. Adding extra or remote gauges is a snap!

Precision Swiss made stepper motors are used to control needle positioning, creating unmatched accuracy. Each gauge has its own 8-bit microcontroller to read and interpret engine data and to drive the stepper motors. Proprietary needle positioning and averaging software eliminates jitter and creates a great easy-to-read needle sweeping motion.

All of our gauges feature LEDs for backlighting and needle lighting. LEDs eliminate maintenance, reduce glare and improve overall legibility when compared with conventional incandescent light bulbs.

Insight‘s gauges feature real metal bezels in your choice of powder-coat black, polished stainless steel, or polished 24-carat gold. As well, all of our gauges use multi-layer, silk-screened polycarbonate labels designed specifically to provide consistent, even, glare-free backlighting.
