Pacific Insight’s ProStep Gauges are designed to work with a vehicle's existing sensors and will directly replace all older analog gauges.

The ProStep Gauge line offers all of the same great features as the DataStep Gauges, like LED backlighting, Swiss made stepper motors, an on-board microcontroller, and that superior finish that all Insight gauges provide.

Instead of reading data values, ProStep Gauges get their input from standard sensors and sending units. Once connected to a sending unit, the ProStep Gauges convert voltage from the resistive sensors to digital data so that the information can be processed by the gauge's microcontroller. Insight’s proprietary gauge software averages and stores sensor readings to ensure the greatest accuracy.

ProStep gauges are so smart, they can even tell when a sensor is damaged, out of tolerance, or intermittent, and then warn the driver. Not too bad for a gauge that doesn't cost much more than our not-so modern competitors.
